Options for Generating Labels and Packing Slips

Option 1 - Spring physically prints the labels. Charges depend on # of labels.

Option 2 – Spring support team manually generates the PDF file and emails to you. Flat fee of per loadplan. 

This process involves the Spring Systems support team help. You receive the following via email: Loadplan (with BOL), packing lists (pdf), label file (PDF). *** please note, this label file will be sorted by DC, style, pack, color, store.

Option 3 – Spring application automatically generates the PDF file and it appears on-line. Flat fee per month to access this module. Unlimited labels, unlimited retailers.

Manually Generating Packing Slips and GS1 Labels on PortalApp

You can generate and print your GS1-128 UCC labels and packing slips on the portalapp and print them in your warehouse or if you have a 4"x6" Label printer.

To generate the labels for your shipments, kindly follow the steps below:

1. Login to portalapp and then click on Transaction ----> Shipments.

2. On this page, filter or search for your shipment(s), for which you want to generate the documents. Highlight the shipments by holding down the CTRL (or CMD, on Mac) button and single clicking the rows to select your shipments. You can select multiple POs in this process too.

You will see the rows turn blue as shown.

3. Once selected click on the "Shipping Docs" button on the top and then click on "Generate Shipping Docs" to generate shipping documents.

The "REQUEST PRINTING BY SPRING" option can be used when you want Spring Systems to physically print your labels and packing slips and ship them to you via FedEx or UPS or any service.

4. A new pop up asking which document you want to generate, will show up. Select the type of document that you want to generate

  • For GS1-128 UCC Labels select "Shipping Label"
  • For packing slips, select "Shipping Packing Slip"

Once, selected, click on the blue button with Generate Documents for All Selected Shipments.

5. This will open a new pop up window. If it doesn't open, check that pop ups are allowed as shown on the top right.
