Advanced Inventory
Advanced Inventory is an add on module that provides the following features:

• Pre-packs - this is accessed on PortalApp via Catalog > Manage packs.   Here you can create a catalog product item that is made of other items.   This can then be expanded or reported on such as when you are sending data to your warehouse.  An example is when a retailer orders an item represented by GTIN 111111111111 with a quantity of 1 pack.   This pack item is actually an assortment of 6 pieces spanning 4 different items each with different quantities  (Size Small - item 222222222222 with qty = 1; Size Medium - item 333333333333 with qty = 2; Size Large - item 333333333333 with qty = 2; Size X-Large- item 444444444444 with qty = 1) .   When you send the order to your warehouse, the warehouse might store their inventory in the form of the sub-items not the pack item.   This feature allows PortalApp to communicate the sub items to your warehouse.
• Inventory buckets (aka lots or inventory pools). Inventory buckets are essentially groups of inventory such as by retailer or manufacturing lot.   An example where this might be helpful is if you sell the same item to multiple D2C retailers but you want to reserve specific inventory quantities for each retailer.   For example you might have 100 items in stock but you want to reserve 80 of them for retailer A and 20 of them for retailer B.   Another example is manufacturing lots.   This feature helps you keep track of this inventory separately.
• Inventory Based Routing - this is where PortalApp automatically sends your warehouse ship request (940) to whatever warehouse has available inventory.  You can set a priority by item and retailer.  If warehouse location with priority 1 has the inventory then your 940 is send to this warehouse, else PortalApp will check warehouse location 2 to see if they have the inventory.   This feature will also split an order apart if necessary.
• Additional 1000 inventory SKU transmissions per day to your flat rate plan.
