Shipments: How do I send an ASN?

You can send your ASNs through the portal manually, or Spring Systems can send it on your behalf.

To send an ASN manually, follow the steps below:

  • Look for the shipments in the Transactions --> Shipments page.

  • Select your shipment(s) and click "Edit Shipments"

  • Click on the Shipment Level Editor pencil icon in the brown bar to fill in your shipment tracking information.

  • Fill in all the information marked in a brown "S" which are mandatory by the retailer for the ASN as shown below and Save the information from the Blue button on the page.

  • You can send the ASN directly from shipments table by selecting applicable shipments, then clicking “send shipments” => “send advanced ship notice (856)”

  • You can also send the ASN directly from the shipment by clicking “Save and Send Shipment” => “Save and Send Advanced Ship Notice (856)”

  • If requesting your ASNs to be sent by Spring, please email support@springsystems.com (copy urgent@springsystems.com for after hours requests) with the following information included:
    • PO#
    • BOL# (or tracking # of lead carton)
    • Weight
    • Carrier
    • Carrier’s SCAC (Standard Carrier Alpha Code)
    • Ship date
    • Total units
    • Total cartons
    • Exact detail (including carton #’s) of any adjustments*
    • Dispatch # (Zappos orders only)
